How did you react when you found out you would be having:
Double the work?
Double the late night feedings?
Double the diaper changes?
I imagine it was very overwhelming, and also exciting to find out that you’re going to get double the love all at the same time.
This news also probably raises financial concerns knowing you will have double the expenses as this was probably not in your family’s budget: double strollers, double high chairs, double car seats, and you know…all the things…

I think some mothers of twins are too overwhelmed to even think about trying to bring two newborns in for photos. Also, most photographers charge extra for a set of twins. Not me 😊
I charge the same price for a newborn session regardless of if its for a single baby, or twins.
It truly is more work and I don’t have an assistant, but I simply ask for the parents to help me hold the babies as I transition them into posed positions. We can get it done without the added extra costs for two babies. I don’t want to cause additional financial burden to parents who want newborn photos for their babies. My prices are already very reasonable as I don’t rely on my photography business as my main source of income. I try to provide a service to Mamas who may not otherwise be able to afford the photographs that will be a lasting memory and forever treasure.
Most twins are born early, so I advise that we not take their photos at 7-14 days old. We wait until closer to their due date timeframe to schedule, so that gives Mama more time to recover as well to be ready to take her twins out of the house to my studio.
I provide a clean, sterile, homey environment so we can make it a fun activity for parents and the twins. You also don’t need to bring any clothing. I provide fabrics, backdrops, wraps, props, and loveys.
